Fictonian – Little Blue Book Lyrics
My Mum once bought me a book,
called follow your dreams,
and although i didn’t look,
It leapt from its seems.
At the time i was confident,
my outlook was nonchalant,
my feelings were buried with faith.
And so I was vulnerable
discarding what’s honorable,
but these were my formative days.
CHORUS:
Oh we all cry somedays,
and we all will die one day,
so come on try , I say,
just live by this little book
give it a healthy look,
and you won’t be bitter
and you won’t be thankless no more.
My Mum once fed me a line,
that was rather profound,
‘when you’re losing the love for your life,
there’ll be comfort in sound’.
At the time I was petrified,
my feelings had left me tied
up in all kind of strange knots.
But now that I recognise,
the words they are strong and wise,
I listened and learnt from the lot.
CHORUS:
Oh we all cry somedays,
and we all will die one day,
so come on try, I say,
just live by this little book
give it a healthy look,
and you won’t be bitter
and you won’t be thankless no more.
